Somewhere in the lands of Sosaria, a native lad was growing up, being trained in the way of sorcery by his father. His Name was Mondain. As his knowledge of the arcane arts of magic growed, Mondain started to experiment his power over minor creatures, controlling their minds, their actions even killing them without compassion. |
Mondain's strange ways were a constant worry to his father. When Mondain was fifteen, his father took a stand.
"You shalt take a year off from magic, Mondain. To improve thine attitudes and develop thy virtues"- Mondain's father said- "I have arranged for thee to live with the brothers in the abbey, where you shalt practice Compassion and humility".
"Learn thy lessons well, my son and this ruby gem which harnesses the power of the sun, shall be thine"

Mondain plans where others, and not even his father could stand in his way. The next night he slew his father and took the gem, for he was ready for power. Mondain began to use his father's gem against itself to produce a black jewel that would render him his evil immortality. |

Mondain cast all the dark creatures along the universe, even an alien race from another universe responded the dark wizard. The few ho escaped their grasp talked about some part tiger, part human creature with some powerful wands of strange fire.
Terror invaded Sosaria, British ideas for unity become more and more appealing. But even the hope and will off the people of Sosaria could not stand to such threat.
Something else was needed...
Lord British, in contemplation of the silver serpent of his medallion, envisioned the kind of hero that was needed to defeat Mondain.
Within days, a stranger arrived to Sosaria. In time the stranger become the hero that should stand against Mondain.
Eventually, the hero founded the malevolent gem and destroyed it along with its creator.
But the power of the black gem of immortality was not entirely vanished in that moment, as Britannia would be again under the lord of its shadows...
