First like many others I think the Avatar needs a house. Second I
think you should be able to transfer you U8 charecter over to U9
with all your gear and at least the spells learned from
Mytharean. Third I want Dupre you hear me Dupre. Forth I think
favorites like Iolo, Shamonio, Gwenno, Spark, and we can't forget
Boyden sholud be companions. Finally I sure hope the Avatar kicks
the Guardian's but.

I think that since the Avatar has just left Pagan being the Titan
of Ether, I think he should start-out all-powerful and as strong
as he was after he left Pagan. (Not no beginner stats.)

AS much as the Avatar has visited Britanna, I'm suprised the he
dosen't have his own house! All he gets is that little guest room
at LB's castle! He needs a place all his own! To store excess
money and items without worry of them getting stolen or
disappearing!
I tried to make use of Iolo's home in Yew, but those wolves that
keep on appearing outside his home just sucks. And some of those
pirate's den are real cool, but they keep coming back after you
kill them! That is no fun!
Avatar needs a place to stay in Britanna as seeing as he might
never return to Earth!
Plus does anyone know if Cassandra (the chick in Cove who watched
over the shrine (U7), the Avatar's potential honest love intrest)
is going to make an appearence in Ultima 9?

Supposudly what I heard about ultima9 was this, When you entered
the Etheral void, time passed by many many years, britania has
become super advanced, The Guardian has taken over Britania, and
Iolos grandson will be your companion.
I also heard that you must go back to Ultima 1-7 and finish up
the ties and complete the new quests, the dungones in ultima9
will be like the Duke nukem 3d levels, I also heard that if
origin releases it by Christmas, ultima Ix will be 2 cd, but they
might wait until june then it will be 7
I also heard thatthe game play will take about 9 months out time
to finish
I don't know if this is true, but this is what my friends and all
of the software places have told me

I was kinda hoping that the Guardian, being very teed off at the
Avatar would strike at the Avatar's homeworld, Earth! Causing all
the other- worlders, Iolo, Shamino, etc to band together and
return to Earth to put a stop to the Guardian once and for all.
Earth has no magic and would have very little in the ways to
defend from the influences of the Guardian.

The story line, according to sources including official (such as
posts by Brian Martin and ther members of Origin's staff) and
unofficial sources, (hearsay) goes something like this :
The Avatar returns from his "vacation" on Pagan to find signs of the Guardian's victory in Britannia. We don't know how much Britannian time has passed, but it's probably been a while, since Lord British has said in an interview that only long lived characters like the otherworlders like Shamino, LB and Iolo will still be in Britannia. Again, we don't know how much they've aged. (My assumption on this is little or none at all, as Iolo will hopefully) still be able to adventure and Julia will (hopefully) still seem somewhat young.
The Avatar looks like Achilles from Homer's Iliad, as he's dressed in the garb of a titan and looks like an ancient Greek hero now.
The Avatar will need to find and battle the Guardian once and for all, and win Britannia back, possibly sacrificing his own life. He will battle using the virtues, which will be brought back into Ultima in a MAJOR way in IX.
Hoped for (and hinted at) treats:
1. The return of portraits, as well as voices for all the characters.
2. A visit to the Sosaria of Ultima I. (Time travel? A meeting with the legendary "Hero"?)
3. Interactivity with the world.
4. No more arcade games.

...I like accumulating wealth, but what's an Avatar to do with
all that extra money/gold once he/she has enough ships, food,
magick armour, ect. I'd like to buy a house, a car, a bar, a
hooker (whatever). The main thing I am looking for in the game is
more personal interaction with not only party members, but with
others in general. UW2 kind of started in that direction with
having other's responses depend on what the Avatar asked them,
but never really got there...it was still pretty proscribed as to
what action HAD to take place. At one point late in the game,
Mors Gotha offers the Avatar the chance to join her on the
Guardian's team. Just to see what would happen, I went along with
it. It was treachery, of course; I still had to fight her. Why
couldn't I have joined her if I so desired...or at least got her
into bed? I would like to see more flexibility in the actions the
Avatar can take...esp later in the game as wisdom, ect increases.
Any thoughts?

If Origin wants to be so realistic with their games, then they
need to stop leaving us gamers wondering ...
Just where DO people go to the bathroom in an Ultima game? I've
spent hours looking for a bathroom.
