Factions - The Xaositects

The Xaositects:
(The Chaosmen)

"Chaos is truth, order delusion. Embracing the
randomness of the multiverse, one learns its secrets."

  • Requirements: The only common point in all applications, you need an sponsor. He’ll asks anything he can thought of from you. Then he decides if you’re in. (e.g. He can just say “you’re in”, make you some tests, pay some dues and wages, make you dress funny, or expect you to refuse such requirements, who knows).
  • Restrictions: Must be of Chaotic Alignment. They can never found business, build strongholds, raise armies, or undertake any other action that requires long-term organization and discipline.
  • Organization: To say that the Xaositects have no organization is almost to give them credit. They can barely hold themselves enough together to form a faction. There is no advancement, no line of command, nothing. The Factol is usually whomever chooses to take the position; Karan has simply been doing just that for a while. Groupings that evolved and then disappear over time tend to have either a “Boss” or a “Big Boss,” but neither commands much power over anyone outside his immediate circle, which is in itself constantly changing.
  • Skills: Class: Bluff, Innuendo. +2 to these skill checks. Gain Language (Scramblespeak), which is their manner if speaking with mixed-up syntax (to understand this language an Innuendo check DC 15 is necessary).
    “understand I not do you.”
  • Limited Rhyme or Reason (Ex): They receive a +2 belief bonus to all Law aligned spells or abilities (any spell cast by a lawful character, or something from the Law Domain, for example).
  • Protection from Law (Su): The character acts as if constantly warded by the Protection from Law Spell. It can be dispelled, but can be reactivated as a free action. This ability excludes the physical protection to extraplanars granted by the spell of the same name.
  • Awareness of the Misplaced (Su): If something is truly lost (not just hidden), it can be found using these ability. The exact answer could vary from reading to reading, but normally the answer is warped by chaos. To make use of this ability a Innuendo check DC 20 is needed, otherwise, it works just like the Locate Object spell.
  • HQ: The Chaosmen call kip somewhere within the Hive, though exactly where is anyone’s mystery—including their own faction members. In the Planes, they tend to gravitate toward Limbo.
  • BUYABLE FEAT: Babble (Sp): (PQ: Chaosmen) Once per day, in a spread 10’ area around the Chaosmen, all sound is warped. Noises are unrecognizable, Verbal communication is impossible, Spells with verbal components can’t be cast, Anything that relies of sound doesn’t function, Sonic damage has no effect. There is no save and SR does not apply. The spell lasts for CL% rounds (multiply the CL with the result of a d100/100) and the area moves with the Xaosmen. Anyone leaving the area remains affected a number of rounds depending on his alignment (CN 0 rounds / CE, CG 1 round / NG, NE, TN 2 rounds / LG, LE, LN 3 rounds ).
  • BUYABLE FEAT: Chaos storm (Sp): (PQ: Chaosmen, CL 5+) Once per day, within a 30’ radius of the Xaositect a massive swirl of chaotic energy forms. All creatures within the area of effect must make two rolls every time they make one, taking the worst result of the two. The effect allows no save, but anyone moving outside of the storm’s influence is no longer under its effects. It lasts for 2 rounds/level.
