The scroll was indeed a message from the Guardian, telling Batlin to travel to the Serpent Isle, in where he would continue his plans of conquer and destruction.

As the legions of the Guardian where defeated again, Lord British ordered a complete search for the missing Batlin, head of the Fellowship.

A new unknown danger know threat Britannia, and the rest of the Worlds. In the same time a strange illness was effecting many mystical creatures and the Gargolies. Storms and earthquakes began to beat the land of old Sosaria. Perhaps the plan of the Guardian was not so far away... Legends told that the missing lands that vanished, between the dark ages and the arrival of the Avatar, where at another world, The Serpent Isle. |

In the last year, Gweeno, (Iolo's Wife) had conducted an expedition to find the Serpent Pillars. Using the notes that left Gweeno, the Avatar traveled to the Serpent Pillars with his comrades Dupre, Iolo and Shamino. |

Armed with all magic weapons and tools that they could carry (including the mighty Blackrock Sword) the Avatar Party sailed to the frozen lands, crossed the frosty north seas of Britannia, and founded the mystic Serpent Pillars, the gate to Serpent Isle. |
As the Ship crossed the Pillars, it was transported to the Serpent Isle. The Boat smashed violently into the ground, luckily the Avatar and his party where unharmed.
As they begun to explore on foot, some strange torments stared to throw lighting into the party. As they run seeking for some protection, one by one, the members of the party despaired when they where stoked by the lightning. Just the Avatar remained, but lighting took away almost every weapon and armors that he broth within.
The Avatar started to seek for his mates, as he could not succeed his goal alone. Soon he find them as they where confused by demonic wizards by the habitants of the Isle. To proof their friend innocence the Avatar had to pass several difficulties, including a trial, a war against goblins and a Clans test.

Once this innocence was demonstrated, the Avatar retook his quest to find Batlin and Iolo's wife Gweeno. With the aid of some Monks the Avatar discovered the Guardian plans. |

But Batlin was not planning to follow all the Guardians Plans. Batlin planned to take control of the three banes of Chaos, not to serve the Guardian, but defeat him and the control the entire Universe. The Avatar's party succeeded to reach Batlin, but it was to late, as he would just released the Banes. As their power was unlimited, Batlin couldn't control them and found death. The banes possed Iolo, Dupre and Shamino, and started a reign of terror in the Serpent Isle. Almost all the population of the Serpent Isle was exterminated, the Avatar was in a great conflict, as he had to stop the Banes without harming his friends. |

Imbalance was starting to destroy the lands, and only a great Sacrifice could restore the Serpent of Chaos. The ashes of a pure sole where needed to join the Banes and the Serpent of Chaos once again. Dupre, in an unexpected action, scarified his life, as he could not tolerate the sins committed by the banes. The remaining Party, continue the quest to restore balance, and headed to the Temple of Balance. |

Once there, the Avatar, wearing the serpent armor, the staff, and the three black rock serpent keys, invoqued the ceremony to restore balance.
Transported to the void, the Avatar was witness of the union of the tree serpents. Order, Chaos were together again and the Serpent of Balance was restore.
But that was not all for the Avatar, as the Guardian captured him in the void and took him to another world.
