Assigning what your character’s primary and secondary believes are, you’ll be making use of this system. Anytime some important sacrifice is made because of following own believes, some Belief Points (BP) could be awarded.
What can you do with your BPs?
1 BP = Automatic Success in 1 roll (E.g. Hit someone automatically, 75% of hit points when leveling, etc.).
2 BP = Automatic Excellent Success in 1 roll (E.g. Critically hit someone automatically, full hit points when leveling, etc.).
3 BP = Deeper Intuition. Ask 1 question to the DM, this must be something that could be obtained by mere Intuition or Sixth Sense. The DM can refuse to answer if by doing so the game is spoiled, but in such cases, BPs are not spent.
All players are encouraged to use make use of this system, and anyone doing so should fill the “PS Belief System Chart” (by Erik Arnesson). Any other suggestion for uses of the BPs are welcome. In any case, all uses are to achieve some In Character success. You can’t raise an stat or something like that, but some gain could be obtained by a streak of luck, for example.
