  • This kind of creatures are constructs with free will.
  • Command machinery (Ex): The gear spirit can command any machinery after melting with it (assuming the machinery it’s partially metallic). The spirit can force the machine to obey his will, but within the limitations of the machine purpose (a lock can be opened or closed, a ballista could be fired upon his enemies, a lamppost could be turn on (but it couldn’t be used to attack a passerby for example)).
  • Reduce Armor (Ex): Every time a gear spirit hits someone who’s wearing metallic armor in melee combat, that armor looses 1 point or armor AC, if no armor AC is left, enhancement bonuses start to decay. When all AC bonuses are gone the armor is utterly destroyed.
  • Meld with metal (Ex): As Meld with Stone spell, but the gear spirit can meld with any form of manufactured metal or machinery.
  • Construct: Immune to mind-affecting, poison, paralysis, sleep, stunning, disease, death and necromantic effects, critical hits, subdual damage, ability damage, ability drain, energy drain, massive damage, any effect that relies on a Fortitude save (except if it works on object too), but they destroy at 0 hp. Darkvision 60 feet.
  • Outsider: Darkvision 60 feet, and can’t be raised or resurrected.
