· Flaming Hooves (Su): A hit from the nightmare’s hooves sets combustible materials alight.

· Smoke (Ex): A cloud 10’ around the nightmare is formed every time the nightmare is excited or in combat, and everyone within must succeed a Fortitude save (DC16) or take a -2 penalty to all attack and damage rolls. The penalty remains as long as they remain inside the cloud and for 1d6 minutes extra. The nightmare gains one-half concealment against creatures 5 feet away and total concealment against creatures 10 feet away or further.

· Astral Projection and Etherealness (Su): Both abilities function as the spells of the same name as cast by a 20th level sorcerer.

· Outsider: Darkvision 60 feet. Can’t be raised or resurrected.
