  • Whirlwind (Ex): The Vortex is surrounded constantly with a mini-cyclone, 5 feet in diameter and 10 feet tall (for a fine Vortex). Any creature of the same size or smaller than the vortex, attacked successfully by him is engulfed in the raging winds. After the first round, the victim takes 1d3 bludgeon damage and the spinning victim must succeed a Fortitude save (DC 5 + 1 per each round after the first) or be instantly slain by a particular violent current or by crashing into a solid object. Creatures one size larger are not engulfed but is unable to act for 1d4 rounds.
  • Any victim trapped inside the vortex cannot break free of the winds without some form of outside help. Other characters can pry the poor sod out, with a touch attack at -4 penalty they grab the victim, then a Strength check (DC 20) is needed to remove it from the mini cyclone.
  • Alternatively, the victim can try to kill the vortex. Only small weapons can be used (with a -2 penalty). Those outside doesn’t have the penalty, but any attack has a 50% to target the trapped victim (since they occupy the same square).
