· Wounding (Ex): The ability which barbazu employ their saw-toothed glaives makes them able to cause injuries that continue to bleed for long periods. Each wound caused bleeds for 2 points of damage each round until wound is bound, cured, or victim dies. The bleeding is cumulative.

· Hug (Ex): If the barbazu strikes with both its claws, the beard automatically hits for maximum damage (instead of the normal bread attack).

· Disease (Ex): The cleanliness of the barbazu is something to be discussed, so 25% of them carry some kind of disease in their beards. Those individuals are able to infect anyone hit with their beards.

· Battle Frenzy (Ex): In combat a group of barbazu is 10% likely per melee round to go berserk. The roll is cumulative per melee round. They stay berserk until combat ceases. While berserk, the barbazu need not make morale checks, they attack twice as many times per round at a +2 on attack rolls and damage dice. Their armor class, however, takes a -3 penalty.

· Spell-like Abilities (Sp): At will – Affect Normal Fires, Command, Fear (by touch), and Produce Flame.

· Gate (Su): Once per day the barbazu can attempt to gate in 2 to 12 abishai (50% chance, any type) or 1 to 6 additional barbazu (35% chance).

· Baatezu Qualities:

 

· Immunities: Fire & Poison.

· Resistances: Cold and Gas 20.

· Know Alignment (Su): Always active, as a caster with as many levels as HD.

· Planar Travel (Su): Baatezu can travel to any Lower plane, the Outlands, and the Astral Plane without restrictions.

· Spell-like abilities (Sp): Animate Dead, Charm Person, Major Image, Suggestion, and Greater Teleport.

· Telepathy (Su): Because of a special form of telepathy they can understand and converse with any intelligent creature.

 

· Outsider: Darkvision 60 feet. Can’t be raised or resurrected.
