· Severing: The pincers of a piscoloth act in a similar way – but less deadly – to a vorpal sword. Whenever a critical hit is scored against a large or smaller creature, the victim must succeed at a Fortitude save (DC17) or lose an arm (60%) or leg (40%). Metal armor gives a +2 bonus on the save, +1 for each enhancement bonus if magical armor (even if not metallic).

· Poison: The mouth tentacles carry a powerful poison. Anyone hit by those must succeed at a Fortitude save (DC19) or suffer the poison effects (primary damage 1d6 Constitution / secondary damage 1d6 Constitution). Non-magical healing has no effect against this poison. If the save succeeds, the victim is instead slowed for 1-6 rounds. If both saves are failed, the victim dies an hour later in a much weakened state.

· Spell-like Abilities: At will – Bind, Blink, Emotion, Jump, Know Alignment, Meld into Stone, Phantasmal Killer (2/day), Protection from Good, Resist Fire, Scare, and Stinking Cloud. All abilities are used as a 10th level sorcerer.

· Gate: Piscoloths are prodigious summoners. They can gate in 1-8 mezzoloths three times per day with no chance of failure. They can also attempt to gate in 1-2 additional piscoloths once per day with a 35% chance of success.

· Immunities: All water-based attacks inflict -1 damage per die.

· Yugoloth Traits:

· Immunities: Acid, fire, and poison.

· Resistances: Gas resistance 20.

· Weaknesses: Cold inflicts double damage.

· Spell-like abilities: At will – Alter Self, Animate Dead, Cause Disease, Charm Person, Minor Image, Produce Flame, and Greater Teleport.

· Nature of Betrayal: All yugoloth can gate in their fellows when necessary. However, summoned yugoloths are 25% likely to turn on their summoner and aid the opponent. If the opponent wins, the traitorous yugoloth tries to cadge a reward for its help.

· Outsider: Darkvision 60 feet. Can’t be raised or resurrected.
