Spell-like Abilities (Sp): At Will, Levitate, Misdirection, Project Image. Once per day, Charm (person or monster), Dimension Door, Emotion. All are used as a sorcerer with levels equal to the Barghest HD (DC 12 + Spell Level).
Feed (Su): The Barghest feeds upon slayed humanoids, as a full-round action. For every 8HD consumed he gains permanently 1HD (0-level characters counts as ½ HD). Victims consumed by a Barghest can only be brought to life with a Wish, Miracle, or True Resurrection Spell, and even then, there’s a 50% chance that the magic will fail.
Alternate Form (Su): They can assume the form of a big goblin or a wild or war dog.
Fear the Holy Flame (Su): While in canine form if they fail the save to any 3rd of higher level fire spell they are instantly hurled to Gehenna if in other plane.
Pass without Trace (Su): When in canine form they don’t leave any kind of traces in the floor.Scent (Ex): Usable only in canine form.
Plane Shift (Su): The Barghest can plane shift to Gehenna at will.
Outsider Traits: Darkvision 60 feet, and can’t be raised or resurrected.
